Glossary
Ashing Furnaces
Designed to give correct throughput of oxygen through the
chamber to ensure complete determination of ash, typical users
food analysis and agricultural research.
Calibrated Ovens
Calibrated Ovens for use up to 700deg c for use in conjunction
with AMS 2750D standards.
Working envelopes of + - 5 deg c guaranteed.
Aerospace industry are the main users.
Electric Furnaces
Complete range of electric furnaces for both single and 3
phase (where needed)
Voltage mainly 230volts single phase and 415volts 3 phase, 110
volt options are available.
All types of heating from resistance wire to silicon carbide
elements.
Heat Treatment Furnaces
Our range of heat treatment furnaces can be used for both
hardening and tempering (high and low temperatures)
Ideal for tool rooms
Standard range has 3 sizes, but can be much larger built as a
special.
Quench tanks and baskets also available.
Heat Treatment Ovens
Basically as with calibrated ovens, but can be used as simply
a drying or curing ovens where the temperature uniformity does
not have to meet any calibration specification.
High Temperature Furnaces
For processes such as sintering up to 1800deg c.
Available in both chamber and tube style.
Typical users of high temperature furnaces would be research
laboratories and Universities.
Industrial Furnaces
Required when the standard range of industrial furnaces is
too small, typically chamber furnaces up to 1200deg and up to
1mt cube (and larger)
Can be used with roller tables for getting work in and out of
the furnace easily and air operated doors.
Industrial Hot Plates
Mainly built to customer specification comprising heavy duty
plate on legs typical sizes already done 1mt square, temperatures
up to 300 / 400deg c depending on environment.
All control gear supplied separate to industrial hot plates.
Industrial Ovens
As with calibrated ovens most likely to be large chamber to
cope with size of work pieces, with air operated door.
Laboratory Furnaces
Covers most ranges of furnaces, muffles, tubes, high temp
etc, which are typically used in research labs and University
labs, these laboratory furnaces are usually within the standard
size range.
Muffle Furnaces
Hard wearing refractory muffle furnaces (liner) especially
good where work pieces may be heavy as this type of furnace is
very hard wearing, provides a hard wearing surface for work pieces
to be placed on.
Tube Furnaces
Tube Furnaces are ideal for chemical analysis and analytical
research where gas tight ends can be fitted to a work tube (which
cannot be done in other types of furnaces) tube furnaces can
be designed for both horizontal and vertical format if required.
